With the start of summer and the Tour de France approaching, we are already bringing you into the French sunny atmosphere with a particularly refined barbecue dish this time. Fresh gratinated oysters from your barbecue, with a spicy pepper and fresh lemon aftertaste! Highly recommended! Read here step by step how we prepare, season and cook the dish. YOU CAN’T GO WRONG. Ingredients for 12 oysters
- 12 Oysters (or make double portions)
- 1 Lemon
- 25 Grams Panko breadcrumbs
- Fresh parsley
- 1 Springonion
- 25 Grams pepperoni
- 10 Grams unsalted full-cream butter
- Not Just BBQ Garlic & Herb seasoning
- Not Just BBQ Lemon and Pepper grinder
Necessities
- Kamado or #weber barbecue
- Coals, Not Just BBQ Firestarters, etc. for preparing your BBQ
- 1 Bowl to mix the ingredients
- Cutting board
- Sharp knife
- Oyster knife
- Tea towel
- Barbecue tongs
Preparation method

1. Start your BBQ with our firestarters. Let the BBQ rise to 150 degrees Celcius.
2. Finely chop the garlic, springonion, parsley and pepperoni.
3. Place a heatproof pan on the grid. Heat the butter and fry the pepperoni until crisp. Add the garlic and parsley and heat for 1 more minute. Remove the pan from the heat and mix in the panko and some Garlic & Herb seasoning.
4. Take the oysters out of the fridge and prepare them immediately.
5. Open the oysters. Place each oyster, convex side down, in a tea towel. Keep the flat side up and the hinge facing you. Insert the oyster knife from the box into the hinge and gently pry open. Then cut off the sphincter by scraping the flat side with the knife. Open the shell and remove any grit. Cut the oyster at the bottom of the shell. Leave no more than ½ tbsp liquid in the shell.
6. Divide the pepperoni crumb over the oysters.
7. Place the oysters on the barbecue. Grill with closed lid, for about 4 minutes.
8. Cut the lemons into wedges. Place the oysters on a large platter and place the lemon wedges in between so anyone can add as they like. Add some fresh chopped springonion Lemon and Pepper herbs from our grinder on top. Enjoy!
