Easy recipe steps:
1. Marinate the shrimps so that the herbs can soak in well. You can do this the night before and at least 30 minutes is recommended (in our video we do it a bit faster fast forward ;-). If you use wooden skewers it is better to soak them in water for at least 2 hours so that they do not burn during preparation.
2. Put the shrimps in a bowl, add a little vegetable oil and the Chilli Ghost Rub. Stir carefully and put covered in the fridge. That’s it. This rub already contains sea salt, sugar, onion, lemon juice and garlic, so no extra additions are needed.
Attention!: this is a rub for the lovers of HOT. This is an extra hot, fragrant spice mix based on the ‘ghost chilli’, the hottest pepper in the world. So decide for yourself how hot you want the shrimps and don’t use too much.
3. Prepare the kamado by filling it with charcoal, add two Fire Starters wokkels and light the fire. Wait 5 minutes until the barbecue has burned well and place the grill. We are grilling the prawns briefly and vigorously directly above the fire.
4. Close the lid and make sure the temperature in the kamado is around 180 degrees Celsius. Close the slides 3/4.
5. Thread the shrimp onto the skewers.
6. Place the skewers above the direct area on the grill. Grill the shrimp for 2 minutes on each side.
7. That’s it. Ready! Enjoy!
